Hajime Sanada grew up in Kumamoto. He attended school locally at Kumamoto University, majoring in Mathematics under the Faculty of Science program. He then further stayed at Kumamoto University for two more years to earn a graduate degree in Mathematics from the Graduate School of Science and Technology. Though he had originally planned to remain in his home prefecture as an accountant at a local firm, his son's love of videogames made Hajime curious about the growing electronic game industry and its financial ramifications throughout multiple economic sectors. When Hajime's accounting firm was hired to perform an independent audit of ScarySmart's finances in 1999, he became further curious and eventually applied for a job as an in-house accountant in 2002 (long after his independent audit had concluded). He rose to the rank of Director of Finance in 2017.
